Janurary was wet. A day or two after the wettest day, the bridge over the Russell River, East of Mirriwinni, holds back a lot of debris. The river flows from the creeks that collect the rainfall from Queenslands highest mountain, Mt Bartle Frere, 1622m, about 12-15km further inland.
