Southwold Railway

The Southwold Railway Trust launches Club 22. The Southwold Railway Trust has submitted a planning application to open a replica station and visitor building at Wenhaston, close to the original Southwold Railway station. Plans include the reopening of 22 chains of original track bed. The site available to purchase includes 12.5 hectares, and the price is £120,000. The decision on our application is due in August 2012. We have to progress the purchase now, because if we wait for the outcome of our planning application it is possible that the site will be sold to someone else. Can you support the Club 22? A donation of £250 will purchase a yard of Southwold railway track bed. £2750 will purchase half a chain. Full details can be seen on our website www.southwoldrailway.co.uk In the event that we are unable to purchase the site donations will be refunded.
