Musical Engines… <!—break—> Tywyn residents are used to the random whistlings of steam engines drifting over the town.
However, even the most hardened of folk must have wondered what on earth was happening on the evening of Saturday 27 August as five steam engines and one diesel launched into a whistling extravaganza.
The title of the piece was ‘Poco a Poco Loco a Loco’, composed by Jonathan Mann for five steam locomotives, and the performance was the world premiere.
