Seems the public can't get enough of the Ffestiniog!

It may have been miserable weather-wise for the majority of the Ffestiniog Railway’s 3-5 May Interactive Gala – But it was hard to find a train that wasn’t almost full. Onlt the diesel hauled trains had enough empty seats for passengers to be picky about where they sat! By lunchtime on the Monday the sun had popped out and photographers siezed the oppurtunity to ‘snap’ linda and mountaineer as they left Porthmadog with a well-packed train for Blaenau.
On that Monday at the Llanberis Lake railway ‘Thomas Bach’s trains were quite full and lots of visitors were walking the footpath alongside the railway’s new extension. The LLR plans for this to open in early June – but with only one month to go there was still some 50 trains that had to run over the new track before this could happen!
