New Railway: East Hayling Light Railway

An all new 2ft gauge line being built on the beach at Hayling Island. It is being built by volunteers and is intended to be running passenger trains at Easter 2003. The track is 1.1 miles long and there are three diesel locos with a steam engine being built as funds permit. The railway has been under construction since May 2002 and is intended to have four platforms along the line. The main station is at Beachlands (behind the funfair) and the other end will be at East Stoke Corner. More information will soon be available when the website is completed.
