Black Rock Bridge was the longest bridge on the old S.A.R narrow gauge system. There have been occasions when the rails were totally covered by flood waters.
The carriages are ex Commonwealth Railways standard gauge cars from the Trans Australian Railways on narrow gauge bogies.
