Aberllefenni quarry

A view of Aberllefenni quarry showing the one adit still in use with the 2ft 3ins gauge track emerging onto a wagon turntable. At this date the line was still in use as far as the mill about half a mile down the valley close to the site of the old Aberllefenni station. The wagon carrying the slate slab was turned 90 degrees on the turntable and hauled to the mill by a farm tractor straddling the rails.
