Chunkai War Cemetary

This line cost many lives - it is said one for every sleeper. In total about 13,000 prisioners of war and 80,000 to 100,000 civilian forced labour (mainly from what are now Malaysia and Indonesia) died during its construction. There are 1,740 graves of British and Dutch prisioners at this cemetary.
