The station here was opened in 1866 and closed in 1939. The new station opened 24 June, 1978. The rail line runs by the Ffestiniog Power Station. At a height of 640 ft., it gives an idea of the rise of the whole line, 710 ft. at Blaenau Ffestiniog. I couldn't help feeling sorry for the poor horses, and amazed at the tremendous amount of hard labour that must have gone into building the whole thing.
