Right place, at the right time!

After the end of the cane cutting/milling season, Locos that have been "on loan" to other mills or stored away from their mill, are brought home. These five (Bundaberg Sugar) Locos, are crossing the Q.R. at Garradunga, 78km south of Cairns. The first 3 have come from Mourilyan Mill (also Bundaberg Sugar), and the 4th and 5th had been stored at the closed Goondi Mill for the previous few weeks. (Goondi Mill closed in 1987, there are a few exchange sidings and the engine shed left). Babinda Mill does the "between seasons servicing" on the locos from other Bundaberg Sugar mills.(more notes with other 2 photos)
