Hello, I have read some comments in the forum regarding whether the Durley Light Railway still operates. It basically does, but we have not had many steam days lately as the track required considerable re-furbishing. This is coming to an end soon, with all the sleepers on the main line having been replaced by concrete ones, and a point rebuilt so that the Feldbahn could traverse it. Also the track is being re-levelled to ease some of the steeper gradients.
Both steam engines will be shortly operational, the Hunslet has had a complete re-tube, and a 10 year boiler test, and may be visiting Hollycombe for part of August, at least.
