WHARF

Weigh house now ready up to roof level – rafters ready for boarding. (Museum to fund slates).



PENDRE

North Shed rewiring progressing well – ongoing.



HENDY BRIDGE AREA

Deeper drain provided to remove excess water coming off the farmers field.

 


CYNFAL BANK

Bottom section tamped with Matisa.

 


CYNFAL STREAM

Checked for flooding – needs downstream section on Cynfal farms land lowering.

 


BRYNGLAS WEST TURNOUT

Old one removed new one installed and mainline road made runable – First 60ft of loop needs re-railing and re-sleepering, stretcher bar and S&T work.

Engineering support from Pendre much appreciated.

 


4 ¼ MILEPOST TO MILEPOST 6

Much of the backlog of important tamping carried out by Matisa.

 


4 ¼ MILEPOST AREA

Hedge laying and removal of arisings – ongoing.

 


4 ¾ MILEPOST AREA

South side drain dug through part of cutting West of Viaduct.

 


QUARRY SIDING BURN SITE

Fuller than it has been for a long time.

 


MILEPOST 6 TO NANT GWERNOL

• Drainage work

• Removal of vast quantities of leaves, most hampering routine line inspections.

 


ABERGNOLWYN AREA & AMEN CORNER

Tree trimming and thinning to remove dead or dying trees and branches. Boscage removed to Q.S. Firewood to Pendre.

 


AMEN CORNER

7 lengths re-sleepered and tamped – needs to consolidate before its given a final tamping.

 


GANG NUMBERS

236 people days in 2007, 248 in 2008 and 237 in 2009
