Work begins on Wharf water column's new cladding

Ever since Wharf Station was rebuilt the water column has looked a bit tatty. It’s now getting a make over as part of the tidying up of the ‘engineering triangle’ area. The breezeblock will be clad with slate – the picture below shows the piles of slate ready to be put in place.
