85th Birthday of Dr David Rowlands
- one son and three daughters.
- Accompanying Dr David Rowlands (retired consultant anaesthetist) were two other grandsons, Gwyn Chambers (retired Reader in Mathematics) and E.Dilwyn Chambers (retired Civil Servant)
- 2 Great Grandsons, John Rowlands and Huw Chambers
- 3 Great Great Grandsons
- 2 Great Great Granddaughters.

David Leech's Retirement party
A buffet was held at Wharf to mark David Leech’s retirement from the position of Traffic Manager, attended by about 60 volunteers and staff. A member of the TRPS since the late 1950s, David worked as volunteer, predominantly on the traffic side for many years and also served on Council and the Board. He was appointed Traffic Manager in 1995 and was also responsible for the marketing of the railway. On behalf of the Talyllyn Railway Company, the chairman, Keith Theobald paid tribute to David’s efforts on behalf of the railway and recalled David’s unfailing good humour and wit, which had often been of great value in maintaining smooth relationships on the railway. First day of operating in 2007
