Wednesday 13th July 2005 - Official Opening of the New Station Building and Museum at Tywyn Wharf Station

The new station building and Narrow Gauge Railway Museum at Tywyn Wharf will be officially opened on the morning of Wednesday 13th July 2005. The normal service that morning will be suspended and the 10.30 a.m. and 11.40 a.m. trains (and the corresponding 12.10 p.m. and 1.20 p.m. departures from Abergynolwyn to Tywyn) will NOT run.

After the ceremony, an "extra" train will leave Wharf Station at 12.45 p.m., leaving Abergynolwyn at 2.25 p.m. to return and arrive at Tywyn Wharf at 3.10 p.m. The 1.55 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. departures from Wharf will run as timetabled.

That day, Wharf Shop and Café will open at approximately 12.00 noon and the Abergynolwyn Café and Shop at 1.30 p.m.
